The Office to Combat Trafficking in Persons (OCTIP) of British Colombia, and the Government of Canada have developed a free online training course for Canadian frontline workers in varying capacities. Called Human Trafficking: Canada is Not Immune, it is a tool for those new (or experienced) to the world of the modern slave trade in Canada. Frontline workers are given definitions, ways to spot trafficking in their local communities, what to do if trafficking is suspected, and current Canadian responses across the country.
For those people who have been looking for orientations into dealing with HT, or want to know how to begin to deal with it your organziations, this looks to be like a great introduction. Great work OCTIP!
